Lucia's family came from Liberty City

What it is

Lucia Caminos' profile on the official site sums up her motive in one line: "More than anything, Lucia wants the good life her mom has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City." The same bio says her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk and that fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. The trailers don't mention Liberty City. It only appears in Rockstar's own written copy.

Why it matters

Liberty City is GTA's New York, the setting of GTA III, Liberty City Stories and GTA IV. One sentence makes Lucia the first protagonist in a long time with a stated personal history in another series city, and it hints at a family that moved south chasing something better. Whether it leads to any Liberty City content in the game is unknown. For now it's backstory, but it's official.
