Overview

Rockstar calls Cocoteo FM "Leonida's home for the best of modern Latin music." The playlist runs "from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton," and the slogan is in Spanish: "el party que nunca se apaga," the party that never switches off.

It is the first station that loads in the player on Rockstar's music page, where its preview runs 2:06. Cocoteo FM is one of six stations named in the October 8 radio reveal, and Rockstar presents it as a station for all of Leonida.

El Martillo and La Gata

The station is "hosted by El Martillo and La Gata," Spanish for "the hammer" and "the cat." Rockstar hasn't said more about either persona yet. The spelling is Cocoteo on every Rockstar page; Game Informer's song roundup wrote "Cocotea FM," which looks like a slip.

Who the hosts are reported to beUnconfirmed

The Fader and Stereogum report that Bad Bunny and RaiNao host Cocoteo FM, and Dexerto embedded a CharlieIntel post listing "Cocoteo FM: Bad Bunny & RaiNao" under the line "Rockstar has revealed the hosts of the radio stations in GTA 6." None of these reports say which artist voices El Martillo and which voices La Gata, and Rockstar's own text uses only the on-air names. Until Rockstar or the game's credits confirm it, the casting is reported, not official.

What the preview playsUnconfirmed

Game Informer ran the preview through Shazam and picked up three songs: Bad Bunny's "EoO," "Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix)" by Axel Rulay featuring Farruko and El Alfa, and "Canalla" by Romeo Santos and El Chaval de la Bachata. Bachata next to reggaeton-era urbano is close to what Rockstar promises. It is a sample from a short clip, not a track list.

Latin music on the album

Latin artists are already part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album: Rauw Alejandro's Macacoa 2000, Fuerza Regida's "Suzuki," and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso on Sexy Magic. Rockstar has not said whether any album songs will play on Cocoteo FM.
