GTA VI Radio Stations

Overview

Rockstar gave GTA VI's radio its first proper showing on October 8, 2026, in a Newswire post called "The Music of Grand Theft Auto VI: In-Game Radio Stations." The post names six stations and describes a lineup that runs "from Classic Rock to Talk Radio," which Rockstar calls "the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet."

Six is only part of the dial. Rockstar presents them as "six of the stations featured" in the game, and neither classic rock nor talk radio is covered by any of them. The post closes with "stay tuned for more info to come," and also promises details on the game's dynamic score, without dates for either.

The six stations

The on-air names below are exactly as Rockstar prints them.

• Cocoteo FM: modern Latin music, "from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton." Hosts El Martillo and La Gata.
• Back Country Radio: renegade country for the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. Hosts MW and Delta Dawne, with roving reporter Mud Dog Mike.
• AfroBank FM: African music from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step. Hosts Burna and Palmsy.
• The Chamber 106.6: metal. Hosts DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
• Flash FM: pop. Hosts Robyn and Alex. The only returning name, first heard in GTA Vice City in 2002.
• Dirty South Classics: regional rap and hip-hop classics. Hosts Trick and Trina.

Three stations have their own pages. AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6 and Dirty South Classics are covered below, since Rockstar has said little more than a line or two about each.

AfroBank FM

AfroBank FM is Leonida's African music station. Burna and Palmsy, described by Rockstar as the station's "dynamic duo," curate "20th-century classics and undiscovered gems" next to "contemporary sounds like amapiano, 3-step, and more." The tagline on the music page is "Turn up the gbedu."

The Chamber 106.6

The Chamber 106.6 is the metal station, and the only one of the six with a frequency in its name. Rockstar's pitch is short: "Crushing metal has landed in Leonida." DJ Kerry and DJ Tom play "decades of timeless metal anthems" and, in Rockstar's words, "channel Leonida's deep metal roots."

Dirty South Classics

Dirty South Classics offers "a little southern hospitality from Trick and Trina," playing regional rap and hip-hop classics. Rockstar says nobody reps "Leonida and the South" like its two hosts, "from the beach to the block."

Who the hosts are reported to beUnconfirmed

Rockstar's Newswire post and music page give only on-air names. Music outlets matched them to real artists the same day. The Fader and Stereogum both reported:

• Cocoteo FM: Bad Bunny and RaiNao
• Back Country Radio: Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey, with Del Rey's husband Jeremy Dufrene as Mud Dog Mike
• AfroBank FM: Burna Boy and Palms Trax
• The Chamber 106.6: Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer
• Flash FM: Robyn and Alex Consani
• Dirty South Classics: Trick Daddy and Trina

Dexerto's coverage embedded a CharlieIntel post listing five of these pairs, all but Back Country Radio, under the line "Rockstar has revealed the hosts of the radio stations in GTA 6." The on-air names fit the reports closely, but Rockstar's published text does not state the real names, so this wiki lists them as reported until Rockstar names them itself.

Podcasts and listening on foot

GTA VI is the first game in the series with podcasts. Rockstar describes "a series of on-demand podcasts for Jason and Lucia to experience beyond Leonida's terrestrial radio." No show titles or hosts have been announced.

The bigger change is where you can listen. Until now, leaving a vehicle in GTA meant leaving the radio behind; Dexerto notes this is the first time players can listen outside of vehicles. In GTA VI both radio and podcasts play in vehicles and on foot, through "newly introduced headphones and earbuds" connected to Jason's and Lucia's smartphones. Rockstar has not yet shown how stations are picked on foot.

How to preview the stations now

All six stations have previews in the Music section of Rockstar's GTA VI site, rockstargames.com/VI/music. Scroll to the Radio panel and press Preview Station under the one you want; the player at the top of the page shows the station and its on-air hosts. Game Informer timed the previews at roughly one to three minutes each.

The same page carries the singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. The album is a separate release, and Rockstar hasn't said which of its songs, if any, will turn up on the radio.

Rockstar hasn't published station track lists. Game Informer's Wesley LeBlanc ran the previews through Shazam and listed three songs per station, among them Bad Bunny's "EoO" on Cocoteo FM, Slayer's "Raining Blood" on The Chamber 106.6 and Charli XCX's "Good Ones" on Flash FM. These come from short clips, not an official list, and say little about each station's full rotation. The station pages give the complete three-song lists where available.
