Declasse Tulip

Overview

If GTA VI has a Bonnie and Clyde car, this is it. Jason and Lucia drive a red-orange two-door muscle car at the end of Trailer 1 and again at the end of Trailer 2. Press outlets that went through the trailers frame by frame, including GamesRadar and PC Gamer, identify it as a Declasse Tulip, a name players know from GTA Online.

Rockstar itself has not named the car. The vehicle and its role are visible in official footage. The model name is a press identification.

Trailer 1

The Tulip appears twice in the first trailer. Early on, a street of customised cars includes a magenta Tulip M-100 on oversized wheels. PC Gamer notes a decal on its rear window that seems to advertise 27-inch rims.

Later, around the 1:10 mark according to Sportskeeda, Jason and Lucia pull away in a red Tulip with a black stripe. GamesRadar places the same car in the trailer's final shot, with the pair speeding off either toward or away from a convenience store robbery.

Trailer 2

Trailer 2 closes on the same car. The Drive called it "the ratty Malibu knock-off being used by our protagonists for their Bonny-and-Clyde antics" and "the same orange getaway car that was featured in the first clip". GamesRadar lists a Declasse Tulip as Jason and Lucia drive away into the night. Two trailers ending on the same battered muscle car suggests it is the pair's car for a meaningful stretch of the story, though Rockstar has not said so.

An Extended LookUnconfirmed

GamesRadar lists a Declasse Tulip in the Extended Look scene where Jason steals a car and can either use a slim jim or smash the window. Jalopnik describes what looks like the same moment as Jason breaking into "a red muscle car seemingly inspired by the Chevy Chevelle". The two outlets may be reading the same car differently, so treat the identification in this scene as unconfirmed. Jalopnik also cites IGN reporting that some newer cars will need their electronic security bypassed.

Real-world inspirationUnconfirmed

PC Gamer ties the Tulip M-100 to the late-1970s and early-1980s Chevy Malibu, and The Drive uses the same comparison for the trailer car. The boxy body, long flat bonnet and upright rear window fit that generation of mid-size General Motors coupes. Rockstar does not confirm real-world sources for its cars.

GTA Online and a possible teaseUnconfirmed

The Tulip M-100 arrived in GTA Online with the Los Santos Drug Wars update on December 13, 2022, a year before GTA VI's first trailer.

In January 2025, Sportskeeda noticed that GTA Online's showroom featured a red Declasse Tulip with a black stripe livery, closely matching the car Jason and Lucia drive in Trailer 1. Sportskeeda presented that as a possible tease. Rockstar never commented, so it remains a community theory.
