GTA 6 Pre-Order UK: Where to Buy and Prices in GBP

How much is GTA 6 to pre-order in the UK?

£69.99 is the full price for the Standard Edition, and the retailers whose prices we could verify listed it a few pounds lower. These are the prices we could read on 20 October 2026:

| Shop | PS5 | Xbox Series X|S | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Amazon UK | £64.99 | £64.99 | RRP £69.99, sold by Amazon, Pre-order Price Guarantee | | GAME | £64.99 listed | £64.99 listed | Page also said "Out of stock"; availability unconfirmed | | ShopTo | £67.85 | £67.85 | Pre-order, ships from 12 November | | PlayStation Store | £69.99 | - | Ultimate £89.99 | | Xbox Store | - | £69.99 | Ultimate £89.99 | | Argos | Listing not verified | Listing not verified | Site blocked our checker | | Smyths | Listing not verified | Listing not verified | Site blocked our checker |

All the retail prices are for the boxed Standard Edition. No UK shop sells a physical Ultimate Edition, because there isn't one.

Can you pre-order GTA 6 at Argos or Smyths?Unconfirmed

Both have GTA VI product pages in search results, but neither site would load for our checker on 20 October, so we cannot confirm a current price, stock level or delivery terms. We would rather leave the row blank than repeat a price from a deal post that may be weeks old.

If you prefer to collect from a high-street store, check the Argos or Smyths page yourself and look for three things: that it says "code in box", that the PS5 version is for UK accounts, and when collection starts. Rockstar says retail copies become available for shipping and pickup from 12 November.

What does "Out of stock" on GAME mean?

On 20 October GAME's PS5 and Xbox pages showed the £64.99 price, a "Pre-order now" button and an "Out of stock" label at the same time. We could not tell from the page whether new pre-orders were being taken. GAME also says promotions, discounts and gift cards cannot be used on this item. If the button lets you complete checkout, the order should be placed; if not, try Amazon UK or ShopTo.

What do you get in the UK box?

A download code and nothing else that plays the game. GAME, ShopTo and Amazon UK all repeat the same line: the box contains a download code to support pre-load from 12 November, and no disc. Codes ship from 12 November, the game unlocks on 19 November.

UK retail pre-orders include the Vintage Vice City Pack. The free month of GTA+ is only for digital pre-orders on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, according to Rockstar. If you want Ultimate later, GAME and ShopTo point out you can upgrade on the console store after redeeming the code; see Standard vs Ultimate for what that adds.

Will a UK PS5 code work in Ireland?

Probably not, and this catches people out. Rockstar lists the United Kingdom as its own PlayStation code region, while Ireland sits in the "Rest of EMEA and Asia" group with most of Europe and Australia. A PS5 code from a UK shop is meant for a PlayStation account registered to the UK, and Amazon UK warns that other accounts "might be unsuccessful". Xbox codes are not region-locked, says Rockstar.

If your PlayStation account is Irish, buy digitally from the Irish PlayStation Store or from a retailer that sells codes for your region.

When should you order?

Pre-order bonuses on PlayStation and Xbox run until the end of 19 November, and retail boxes start shipping on 12 November. If you want the game on pre-load day, order early enough for delivery by the 12th or choose a shop with release-day delivery, as Amazon UK offers. The GTA 6 pre-load guide explains how the early download works, and UK unlock times are in our release time guide. The GTA 6 release date page has everything else on launch week. GTA VI is rated PEGI 18 in the UK, which shops enforce at checkout and collection; see every age rating explained.
